Formed by Starship Entertainment, the complete lineup of who would be in IVE was officially revealed on November 6, 2021. Shortly after, on December 1, 2021, they burst onto the K-pop scene, instantly shifting the paradigm of the industry. Within Starship's structure, they are proudly part of Group Division 1, standing alongside established names like MONSTA X and K.Will. The group’s name, an abbreviation of "I HAVE," perfectly encapsulates their bold identity. Rather than showing the traditional story of a growing, inexperienced girl group, they debuted as a completed masterpiece, confidently declaring to the world, "we will show you what we have."
The group consists of six uniquely talented members: An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo. Together, they boast an unparalleled, elegant, and luxurious visual aesthetic, with their captivating stage performances frequently crafted by their royal choreographer, Simeez. This combination has made them the ultimate "It Girls" of the 4th generation of K-pop. They don't just follow global trends; they set them, becoming highly sought-after ambassadors for top-tier fashion and beauty brands.
Musically and conceptually, IVE stands in a league of their own. Their signature sound is a sophisticated blend of pop, dance, and electronic music. With back-to-back massive hits like "ELEVEN," "LOVE DIVE," and "After LIKE," IVE achieved the rare and prestigious "Daesang" (Grand Prize) sweep at major Korean music awards within just months of their debut. They owe a massive portion of these incredible streaming and sales records to their dedicated fandom, officially named DIVE. The name reflects the idea of fans diving deeply into the group's endless charms. Thanks to DIVE, they hold countless historical milestones in the industry. Their physical sales power is equally staggering, with almost every album release effortlessly crossing the "Million Seller" mark, cementing their status as an undeniable commercial powerhouse.
To further connect with fans in a fun and creative way, the group launched MINIVE—an adorable line of official plush characters. Designed to reflect the individual personalities and signature traits of each member, MINIVE has become a beloved part of the group's expansive universe.
Having conquered the domestic market, IVE's global footprint continues to expand rapidly. During their domestic concerts in South Korea, the atmosphere is notably unique and heartwarming thanks to the massive presence of "baby DIVEs", young children fans who passionately sing along to every word at the top of their lungs. Meanwhile, on the international stage, they continue to prove their exceptional live performance skills through massive, sold-out world tours, such as their inaugural tour "SHOW WHAT I HAVE" and their currently ongoing, massively successful tour "SHOW WHAT I AM." Further solidifying their permanent place as global pop icons, IVE made history by performing at three major Lollapalooza festivals: Chicago, Berlin, and Paris.
